Why private therapy?

How is this different than state-funded Early Intervention services?

In most states, feeding and swallowing therapy is not eligible to be targeted for infants and toddlers. In addition, lactation support is not covered by state-funded Early Intervention programs. Through private therapy, you can target developmental services through both individual and group therapy. We provide bilingual therapy to all multi-language users.

How is this different than state-funded Medicare services?

Through private therapy, you can target geriatric services through individual and group therapy. We offer rehabilitative and compensatory services for all disorders, including degenerative diseases. Our focus is to reduce caregiver burden and improve whole-family quality of life. We provide bilingual therapy to all multi-language users.

How is this different than school & outpatient therapy?

Schools and insurance companies require eligibility criteria to be met including standardized test scores, a certain percentage below average, a difficulty or deficit that directly impacts school performance, etc. Some children and adults have difficulties/deficits that are not captured by formal testing or may not directly impact their school or work day. Instead, many children and adults may show impacts in social-emotional areas and may still need/benefit from speech-language therapy. Other children, adults, and families may need more support, specialized support, or a different model of care than what is being provided. We provide bilingual therapy to all multi-language users. Additionally, we are primarily a medical model that focuses on life skills and functions when targeting goals. Reading/writing disorders and learning difficulties are often not eligible to be covered, unless you are seeking private therapy.

Fees

Do you offer a sliding fee scale?

Yes, in some cases we offer a reduced rate if you qualify for our sober parenting/caregiving program. This initiative supports men, women, and children who are in recovery from substance use and addiction history.

When is payment due?

Payment is required at the time that service is provided, whether you are seen once a week or multiple times a week. Please contact us if you have financial restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate your request. We accept cash, check, online payments, and credit/debit cards.

Do you accept insurance?

We are an out-of-network provider and services may be covered by out-of-network benefits. Benefits vary across policies, so it is important to become familiar with your individual health insurance plan. We will provide upon request the appropriate documentation including an itemized invoice with diagnosis and treatment codes that you may submit for insurance reimbursement.
